For 25 years I have been training people who have a serious fear of speaking in public, transforming themselves into confident, comfortable leaders who were able to speak comfortably and well in front of an audience. From my many students, I have learned that people who have never had a problem speaking in public have no idea how devastating, career-ending and soul-crushing this condition can be. I have worked with students who previously had dropped out of law school, refused promotions, people who could not make a toast at their daughters wedding, people who in class sat at the back of the room and didn’t say a word, making themselves invisible and people who could not read from the bible in church, just because they were unable to speak while others were looking at them. If you have experienced anything close to what I have described, let this blog be your anonymous voice, speak out about the terrible price you pay for not being able to speak in public. Tell your story, let the others know below because most people who suffer from this problem think they are the only ones.
